¿Qué preguntar en las entrevistas?

Siendo sincera este tema de las preguntas me dio algunos dolores de cabeza durante las entrevistas, lo primero que yo hice fue buscar en todos los blogs y paginas posibles las preguntas que otras chicas habían hecho, las recopilé, las resumí, las ordené y luego las imprimí y así empece las entrevistas.
Con el paso de las entrevistas las iba ordenando, hacía algunas adicionales y al final tenía mucho desorden con las preguntas.
Es muy MUY importante que hagan todas las preguntas posibles, sin pena, yo las voy haciendo a medida que avanza la entrevista, dejo algunas para enviar por correo después de la primera entrevista y en las siguientes entrevistas hago las preguntas relacionadas con mi tiempo libre, viajes, el carro, etc.
Preguntas generales sobre la familia y los niños
- Could you describe me the personality of each member of the family?
- Which is your profession? o What do you do?
- How is one day in your family?
- How do the kids get along with each other
- What kind of activities do you do on weekends?
- Are your kids going to day care, preschool or school?
- How far is the school from your house?
- Does the kids do any activity after school?
- What kind of inside and outside activities do they like to do?
- What activities do you like me to do with the children?
- What is the best quality you see in (nombre del Host kid) ?
- Could I go to parks, zoos or museums with the children?
- Do they like to play games outside?
- Does the children have any health problem?
- Does the children have any alergies?
Luego de hacer preguntas generales yo hago algunas preguntas que tienen que ver con la forma en que la familia disciplina los niños y las reglas que tienen para ellos,
- What time do they wake up and go to bed?
- What forms of discipline do you use?
- What do you consider most challenging about your children?
- What is the most challenging part of take care of ( nombre del host kid)?
- Do you allow your children to watch Tv?
- Do the kids have chores?
- how do you reward your children?
- How do you deal with tantrums?
- Shuld I be prepared to deal with a kid who wight get violent?
La idea tampoco es agobiar a las familias, o que la entrevista sea totalmente pregunta- respuesta, yo normalmente hago las preguntas generales y algunas de disciplina, dependiendo de como fluya la entrevista sigo haciendo mas preguntas o les digo que les enviare algunas preguntas adicionales por correo.
También mezclo los tipos de pregunta, algunas preguntas generales, de la host family, algunas preguntas sobre los niños, algunas sobre nuestras responsabilidades como au pairs y vuelvo a algunas preguntas generales, eso también facilita que sea una conversación mas animada e interesada en todo lo relacionado con la familia.
- Do you work inside or outside the house?
- Do you tipically eat dinner together every night?
- What tipe of food do you eat?
- Would you be expected to cook? for kids or the whole family? How often? - Do you like cooking and tasting new meals?
- Do you cook often or tent to eat in restaurants more?
- How do you see the au pair fitting in your family?

- What will be my main duties as your au pair?
- What kind of rules you ask an au pair to follow?
- Do you have a curfew? during the weekdays/workdays and day off?
- What is the schedule like for an au pair in your home?
- What kind of housework will i have to do? - Will I go to the supermarket for example?
- Do I have to work on weekends?
- Will I have to drive your kids? When? To where? How often?
- Do you have pets?
- Are they allowed to go outside on their own?
- Are they friendly?
- Do I have to look afther the pets?
Preguntas de la familia y las formas de comunicación
- Are you religious?
- Do you have any religious habit? - What are your favorite ways of communicating?
(Do you like to texte, call or maybe even email or write a note) - When something bad or upsetting happens in your family, How do you handle it?
Preguntas sobre nuestro tiempo libre como au pairs
- Can I use the ccar in my free time?
- What kind of transportation do i have access to?
- Do you mind if the au pair likes to spend her time off outside the house?
- How do you feel if the au pair tavels as much as she can?
- How will I go to college/university? - Are ther places or opportunities to study near your home?
- Will I have access to the internet?
- Is there any restriction with it? - How will be the au pairs' room?
- Will I share the bathroom?
- Where is situated? - Would you be fine with me inviting friends or family to visit me?
Preguntas sobre el lugar donde viven
- How is the weather like?
- Are there any family with children or au pair near your area?
- Are there any library or playground nearby?
